Logo competition at Moordown St John's School
The Moordown 2010 Committee invited the children of Moordown St John's Primary school to design a logo for the Committee, the idea is to give Moordown an identity of it's own, there was a tremendous response and over 100 pupils took part. They were all lovely and were obviously very proud of their school and the village where they live, Moordown. Unfortunately we could only choose two but when the two we have chosen are revealed, it is a secret until the school returns next week, we will be using them on all our posters and correspondence. Keep an eye out for Posters etc. during the summer.

General Election At Last
Good Evening everyone. I hope there are people reading this. At last the Election has been called and we can get on with the job in hand, namely getting rid of this incompetant and corrupt government. It is not going to be easy and will certainly be a lot of hard work but the thought of another 5 years of Gordon Brown really upsets me.
Did anyone read the weekend papers report on how much Tony Blair costs us all? Although he has made millions out of his position as the former British Prime Minister we, the Tax Payers, are still paying for his personal Security. That is quite disgraceful I don't mind the Police force supplying the manpower but I think it is a bit rich that Tony doesn't pay for it , or at least make a serious contribution.
If anyone would like to get involved in helping with the election, locally to re elect Tobias Ellwood, please contact me by e mail becaqp1@aol.com It is not only hard work but can be great fun at the same time.
