At last we are really beginning the count down to the Election. Something that can't come to soon for me. The sooner we can get rid of this incompetent and corrupt government the better. I wish that having an election and electing a Conservative Government would wave a magic wand and return us to the economy that the Labour Party took over from us, unfortunately it wont and there will be hard times ahead for all of us. Today I went to a meeting with our MP Tobias Ellwood I am pleased to say that he has agreed to have a public meeting here in Moordown, date to be arranged. Look out for date and venue. I hope many of you will come along and put your questions to him. I am also looking for people to help deliver election literature, display a poster, in Moordown or perhaps do some telling, at the polls, on the day. If there is anyone out there who would like to help please phone me on 397047 or 527049. Or post a comment on here. If you have read this Blog please add yourself as a follower, thanks.
This afternoon after my meeting, I went for my weekly drive around Moordown. I try to do this at least once a week, just looking to see if there is anything urgent that needs attention. Today I logged 20 pot holes and a very untidy empty building site. These were in Easter Rd, Naseby Rd, Malvern Rd, Nursery Rd, Hillcrest Rd,Redbreast Rd, Priory View Rd, Coronation Avenue and the bottom of Winston Rd, the untidy building site was, as ever, in Priory View road. I shall report them to Technical Services on Monday morning and hope to see them repaired very shortly. If you know of any others, in roads I have not mentioned, please let me know and I will report them.
