Good News This Week March 18th 2010

For once the Inspectorate seems to be on the side of the Residents. An application , in Coronation Avenue, to change two perfectly good family houses into a mews of six houses has been turned down. This would be a most incongrous development and totally different from anything else in the road. The Inspector spent a lot of time in Moordown looking at the proposed site and other properties in the area and then, in a mere 48 hours, virtually unprecedented in my experience, made her decision to refuse the suggestion. This is a real victory and I congratulate the Inspector for her for common sense.

Other good news, in the realm of Planning, is that the proposal to change No 723 Wimborne Road into another MOT Centre has also been recommended for refusal on Monday evening. If you are interested in seeing how Planning works come down to the Planning board at the Town Hall at about 5.15 on Mon.22nd.
